For most kitchens, we recommend attaching Zuri’s mounting plate 12-16 inches above your heat source (aka above counterheight). This height gives you clearance above large pots, while keeping Zuri close enough to do its best work.

It's best to give Zuri some room to breathe - a few inches below overhead cabinets or a microwave will do the trick.

Zuri ships with one grease and one charcoal filter. Your grease filter can be machine washed - wash it monthly at minimum, or any time you run the dishwasher! We recommend replacing it once a year.

When your charcoal filter is "saturated", it's no longer effective. This generally takes 1-3 months depending on frequency of use and total particulate filtered. When that happens, simply order some on our website.

No. Zuri does NOT remove air from your home. It will not make you kitchen code compliant if you have a gas range. Leaking gas can be extremely dangerous. Zuri was designed to filter cooking smoke and smells - not as a code-compliant exhaust hood.

Zuri has a 7 hour runtime on its built in battery, and recharges via usb-c. You don't have to take Zuri off its mounting plate to recharge, though you can if you choose.

Alternatively, you can keep Zuri plugged in at all times for constant power. Zuri's extending arms provide sleek cable management so the provided usb-c cable can remain relatively unseen and prevent it from ever getting close to your heat source.

If you have a new build project and want to keep a clean aesthetic with constant power, we would encourage considering placing your sockets on the underside of your upper cabinets.

Once your Zuri units are received, you'll be covered with a 1-year manufacturers warranty. This covers anything that is a fault of manufacturing. It does not cover normal wear and tear that happens after your device is used.
